Broncos Host San Jose State in Senior Night Send Off

Yet another Boise State men's basketball season is on the verge of coming to a close as the Broncos not only look to clinch their spot in the Western Athletic Conference Tournament, but will say their goodbye's to a quartet of seniors during Saturday's match-up against San Jose State at approximately 4:15 p.m. at Taco Bell Arena. Due to this being a double-header game, the men will tip-off 30 minutes after the Boise State women's basketball team plays Louisiana Tech, which begins at 2 p.m. (MST).

The Broncos will be looking for revenge on the Spartans as they posted their first win over Boise State earlier this season, marking their first win since the 2002 season. Boise State leads the all-time series with San Jose State, 19-2.

About San Jose State...

The Fresno State win on February 27 was San Jose State's 14th of the season. The last time a San Jose State team won 14 games in a season was 2001. Another victory this season would give the Spartans their first 15-win season since 2000.

As of February 26, San Jose State was 10th nationally in team 3-point shooting percentage with its 39.9 mark.  This season marks the first time more than one Spartan has made at least 60 three-point baskets in a season. Robert Owens has made 75 and Mac Peterson, 63, prior to the Boise State game on March 6.

After sinking three shots from beyond the arc at Idaho, Robert Owens' has registered 75 three-point baskets on the seaso, setting a San Jose State single-season record. In 2000, Billy Landram made 74.

For the fifth time since joining the Western Athletic Conference in 1996-97, a San Jose State team contributed to its opponent shooting less than 30 percent from the field when Fresno State made a current conference low  25.0 percent of its field goal attempts on February 27. The last time a San Jose State opponent posted a field goal percentage less than 30 percent was in 2001.

In 2009-10, San Jose State picked up its first wins in years over Boise State and New Mexico State.

Making his first career start, Daequon Montreal led the Broncos with 19 points, while La'Shard Anderson had 15 and Ike Okoye 14 ...
