ABOUT SAN JOSE STATE: The Spartans have dropped their last six games after winning consecutive conference contests for the first time since 2011. Frank Rogers leads three Spartans scoring in double figures at 10.6 points per game and paces the team with 6.2 rebound per outing.

FIRST TIME AROUND: Nick Duncan and James Webb III each scored 24 points as Boise State cruised to a 94-69 win against San José State Jan. 20, at Taco Bell Arena.

IMPLICATIONS: Boise State will either be the No. 2 or No. 3 seed at next week’s Mountain West Tournament. The Broncos currently sit in third, but could jump to second with a win and a Fresno State loss at Utah State. San José State is locked into the No. 11 seed.

LAST TIME: Anthony Drmic tallied 22 points and 11 rebounds on senior night as Boise State rolled to a 76-57 win against Nevada Wednesday, to clinch a top-three seed at the conference tournament.

PEAKING AT THE RIGHT TIME: Boise State has won four of its last six games- the two losses were the controversial ending at Colorado State and letting a 15-point lead at New Mexico get away in the final six minutes. Over those six games, the Broncos are averaging 81.3 points per game and shooting 47.8 percent from the field. During the stretch, Boise State has been led by Anthony Drmic (18.3 ppg) and James Webb III (16.2 ppg, 10.0 rpg)- two preseason All-MW First Team selections.

GOING HARD IN THE PAINT: In the last five games, Boise State is averaging 40.8 points in the paint per game. The Broncos averaged 30.2 in their first 23 games against Division I opponents this season. Boise State outscored San Diego State in the paint 42-24 and shot 55 percent from inside the arc. The Aztecs entered the game holding opponents to 40.4 percent on two-point field goals this season. As a team, Boise State is shooting 58.1 percent on two-pointers in the last five games.

BIG NUMBER: Boise State has twice scored 94 points in a conference game this season, the most the Broncos have posted since joining the Mountain West. Boise State set the mark Jan. 20 against San José State, and matched it Feb. 13, against Wyoming.

Nick Duncan made six 3-pointers in the first half and scored 24 points, James Webb III added 24 points and 18 rebounds and Boise State rolled past San Jose State 94-69 on Wednesday night. Duncan made five of his first six attempts from beyond the arc and had 20 points at halftime, and the Broncos (14-5, 5-1 Mountain West) led 45-32.
