BOISE, Idaho - Boise State senior Matt Nelson is one of 15 players nationally to be named to the 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America University Division Men's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA.    Nelson, a third-team selection, is the first Boise State men's basketball player to ever be honored, and just the 11th Boise State player in any sport.  Gabe Wallin, men's track and field, in 2005 was the last Bronco honored.   Nelson, who completed his degree in business in December with a 3.52 GPA, has helped Boise State to a 20-7 record so far this season.  He is Boise State's second leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 15.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.  He is currently fourth in the country in field goal percentage, making 65.6 percent of his field goal attempts.   Nelson is also a two-time member of the CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 Team.    See attached pdf for complete listing of All-America teams.
