THE GAME: Boise State (18-10, 9-6 MW) hits the road to face San Diego State (21-7, 14-1 MW) Saturday, at 3 p.m. PT on CBS Sports Network. In the last four games, the Broncos are 2-2 but averaging 86.5 points per game, including an 81-69 win against UNLV the last time out.

FIRST TIME AROUND: Boise State scored nine of the last 11 points, but could not come all the way back in a 56-53 loss against San Diego State, Jan. 16. The loss snapped a 10-game win streak for the Broncos who shot 1-for-17 from three-point range in the game.
JOCKEYING FOR POSITION: Boise State is currently in a three-way tie for third place in the Mountain West, knotted with New Mexico and Nevada. Fresno State is a game ahead of the Broncos in second place. The Bulldogs play at New Mexico Saturday, and the Wolf Pack visit Boise, Wednesday.
LAST TIME: Boise State defeated UNLV 81-69, Tuesday at Taco Bell Arena. The Broncos forced 21 turnovers and won the rebounding battle 41-29 against the Rebels. Boise State outscored UNLV 32-10 over a stretch of 9:25 in the second half to turn a four-point deficit into an 18-point lead.
HIGHLY EFFICIENT: Mikey Thompson is averaging 14.7 points per game in MW play on 10.1 field goal attempts per game. Thompson is shooting 47 percent from the floor in conference games, including 35 percent from three-point range. He is also among the league leaders in free throw percentage at 81.3, while getting to the line 5.3 times per game.
CHASING HISTORY: Anthony Drmic is averaging 20 points per game over the last four contests, putting him in position to contend for the school's all-time scoring record. Drmic has 1,887 points in his career, No. 4 in Boise State history and 57 points shy of Tanoka Beard's school record of 1,944 points. Derrick Marks (1,912 points) and Steve Connor (1,927 points) also stand between Drmic and the top spot.
