LARAMIE, Wyo. – The Boise State men’s basketball team fell 64-54 to Wyoming Saturday at the Arena-Auditorium. Kenny Buckner scored a team-high 10 points and pulled down seven rebounds, while Anthony Drmic, Derrick Marks and Westly Perryman each scored eight.

Perryman also added seven rebounds for Boise State (13-14, 3-9 MW).

Boise State was held scoreless for the game’s first four-plus minutes, but back-to-back 3-pointers from Drew Wiley and Perryman gave the Broncos a 6-5 lead with 15:19 remaining in the opening half.

It would be the only lead of the day for the Broncos, as JayDee Luster hit a 3-pointer for Wyoming (19-9, 5-7 MW) on the team’s next trip down the floor.

Although the Cowboys were able to extend their advantage to 12 in the opening half, a 9-0 run from Boise State cut its deficit to three (27-24) with 2:36 remaining before halftime.

The Cowboys ultimately entered intermission with a 32-26 lead, but Marks scored the second half’s first four points, getting the Broncos within two.

Trailing by five (45-40) with 11:50 left in regulation, Boise State went scoreless for more than six minutes, and Wyoming built its lead back to 12 en route to the win.

The Broncos will play their final home game of the regular season Wednesday, hosting No. 24/25 San Diego State at 8 p.m. Boise State will be celebrating Senior Night against the Aztecs, honoring Westly Perryman and Tre’ Nichols.
