Boise State Game Notes

THE GAME: Boise State enters the final three weeks of the regular season in sole possession of first place in the Mountain West. The Broncos (16-7, 9-3 MW) take their four-game win streak on the road to New Mexico (15-10, 8-5 MW) in a matchup of two of the league’s top four teams Tuesday at 8 p.m. MT.

ABOUT NEW MEXICO: The Lobos have five conference road wins, including one in Boise, but are 3-3 at home in league play. Elijah Brown leads the team in scoring at 18.8 points per game, but New Mexico has been without second-leading scorer and leading rebounder Tim Williams for the last three games.
All-Time Series: New Mexico leads 9-3. The Lobos have won the last three meetings.

SECOND TIME AROUND: In the previous four seasons, Boise State has lost the first game of a two-game regular-season series 15 times. The Broncos are 12-3 in such rematches.

GOOD START: Boise State has won nine of its first 12 conference games for the first time since 2007-08 and the eighth time in program history. The Broncos have won at least 10 of their first 13 league games four times, most recently in 2007-08.

ROAD WINS: Boise State is 5-1 away from home in league play. It is the second most conference road wins in program history, one shy of the record with three road games remaining. Boise State has won six such games five times, most recently in 2014-15.

HEATING UP: Boise State has shot better than 40 percent from three-point range in three of its past four games. The Broncos had eclipsed that plateau just once in the first 19 games of the season.
