New Mexico Downs Broncos 65-49

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Kenny Buckner led Boise State with 11 points and eight rebounds, but the Broncos shot just 31 percent -including 6-of-28 from behind the arc- as New Mexico handed them a 65-49 loss Saturday, at Taco Bell Arena.

Kendall Williams scored 18 points and Tony Snell added 13 to lead the Lobos (19-4, 5-2 Mountain West). Hugh Greenwood added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the visitors, who have won four consecutive games.

Tre' Nichols joined Buckner in double figures with 10 points for Boise State (10-12, 0-7), which has lost a school-record eight straight. Nichols also had a game-high five assists.

New Mexico began pulling away when it rolled off 13-consecutive points to take a 23-12 lead with 7:39 left in the first half.

Derrick Marks scored all eight of his points in the next five minutes to get the Broncos back in the game, eventually cutting the deficit to seven at halftime, 32-25.

The Broncos trailed 32-27 early in the second half before the Lobos used a 13-3 surge to build the lead to 15 points. Greenwood and Snell hit back-to-back 3-pointers to cap the burst.
