DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Ryan Watkins is one of 13 players in Division I averaging a double-double (11.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game). This is the latest point in a season a Bronco has averaged a double-double since at least the 1985-86 season (record of game-by-game statistics begins with the 1986-87 season). Only three times has a Boise State player averaged double-figure rebounds for an entire season, and only once has it happened since Boise State started competing at Division I (1970-71). Steve Wallace averaged 11.0 rebounds per game in 1971-72. Bill Otey averaged 17.3 in 1968-69 and 13.0 in 1969-70. Each also averaged double-figure scoring in those seasons and are the only Broncos to average a double-double at the end of a season.
GLASS STREAKS: Ryan Watkins has a double-double in four-straight games. It is the longest streak at Boise State since Arnell Jones had five-consecutive games with at least 10 points and 10 rebounds from Jan. 21-Feb. 5, 1988. Watkins had three-straight double-doubles from Jan. 16-23, 2013.
GLASS STREAKS II: Ryan Watkins has grabbed at least 16 rebounds in each of the last three games. Entering this year, there had only been 18 times a Bronco recorded 16 or more rebounds in a game during the past 27 seasons (through 1986-87). Watkins is the first to accomplish the feat in consecutive games during that span.
CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARDS: Ryan Watkins grabbed a career-high 22 rebounds at New Mexico (Jan. 21), tied for the most in the NCAA this season (and since Jan. 3, 2013). It also set the MW senior-class record and is two shy of the school record. Watkins is the first Bronco with 20 rebounds since Jason Ellis (21; March 8, 2005).
DUNCAN FROM DEEP: Freshman Nick Duncan is shooting 54.3 percent from three-point range in MW games, to lead the conference. Duncan is 19-of-35 through seven games, after shooting 12-of-31 (.387) in 13 nonconference games.
