THE GAME: Boise State (15-5, 6-1 MW) plays the second of back-to-back road games Wednesday, at UNLV (12-8, 3-4 MW). The game tips off at 8 p.m. PT/9 p.m. MT on CBS Sports Network.

ABOUT UNLV: The Rebels are under the direction of interim head coach Todd Simon. Wednesday will be Simon’s fifth game at the helm, leading UNLV to a 3-1 record so far.

THOMPSON HOT FOR RETURN HOME: Boise State redshirt senior guard, and Las Vegas native, Mikey Thompson has scored in double figures in eight of the last 10 games, including six of Boise State’s seven MW games. Thompson leads the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.08).

TAKING CARE OF IT: Boise State has committed fewer than 10 turnovers in six of the past 10 games, including a season-low five turnovers against Wyoming. The Broncos lead the Mountain West in turnovers per game (10.9), turnover margin (+3.5) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.27). UNLV forces 16.3 turnovers per game to lead the conference.

LAST TIME: Lonnie Jackson knocked down seven three-pointers to lead the Broncos to an 81-71 victory Saturday, at Wyoming. Anthony Drmic and Mikey Thompson each added 15 points.

LONNIE OF OLD: Lonnie Jackson's seven three-pointers Jan. 23, at Wyoming, matched his career high from 2011. Jackson hit seven triples as a freshman at Boston College Dec. 18, 2011, against Bryant. The 21 points Jackson scored against the Cowboys marked his first 20-point game as a Bronco.

TAKING IT ON THE ROAD: Boise State is 3-0 on the road in conference play and has now won six consecutive league road games. Last season the Broncos matched the school record with six conference road wins. It was the fifth time the Broncos have won six league games away from home in one season and the first since 2007-08.
