THE SERIES: The Broncos and Runnin’ Rebels have previously met three times, though just once at Taco Bell Arena. Boise State defeated UNLV at home (84-69) in the 2004 National Invitation Tournament. The Broncos trail 1-2 in the all-time series, including a 75-72 defeat at the Orleans Arena last season (Dec. 8, 2010).

The Broncos have hosted 10 ranked teams all-time at Taco Bell Arena, and the Runnin’ Rebels will be the first since 2009. Boise State - 4-6 all-time at home against ranked opponents - has defeated each of the last two ranked teams to come to Boise, knocking off No. 20 BYU (73-70) in 2007 and No. 21 Utah State (66-56) in 2009.

No. 12 (AP) UNLV is the highest-ranked team to play at Taco Bell Arena since  Washington State (No. 9), Nov. 13, 2007, and the fifth-highest ranked team the Broncos have played at home all-time.

Boise State is 5-28 all-time against ranked opponents.

The Broncos have already used nine different starting line-ups through 18 games in 2011-12, more than the team used all of last season (eight).
