SERIES HISTORY: Boise State leads 22-2. The Broncos have not met the Spartans since leaving the WAC after the 2011 seaseon. SJSU's wins came in 2002 (Feb. 2) and 2010 (Jan. 14), both in San Jose. Boise State is 12-0 at home in the series.

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARDS: Ryan Watkins grabbed a career-high 22 rebounds at New Mexico (Jan. 21), tied for the most in the NCAA this season (and since Jan. 3, 2013). It also set the MW senior-class record and is two shy of the school record. Watkins is the first Bronco with 20 rebounds since Jason Ellis (21; March 8, 2005).

DOUBLE DOUBLE: Ryan Watkins is now averaging a double-double with 10.8 points per game and 10.4 rebounds per game. This is the latest point in a season a Bronco has averaged a double-double since at least the 1985-86 season (record of game-by-game statistics begins with the 1986-87 season). Only three times has a Boise State player averaged double-figure rebounds for an entire season, and only once has it happened since Boise State started competing at Division I (1970-71). Steve Wallace averaged 11.0 rebounds per game in 1971-72. Bill Otey averaged 17.3 in 1968-69 and 13.0 in 1969-70. Each also averaged double-figure scoring in those seasons and are the only Broncos to average a double-double at the end of a season.

DUNCAN A QUICK STUDY: Freshman Nick Duncan is adapting to life in the United States as well as life in the paint. Duncan, from Sydney, Australia, posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in his first semester. His book smarts have carried over to the hardwood where he is learning to play inside. Duncan grabbed a then-career-high five rebounds against Iowa State (Dec. 25), and proceeded to match that number in three of the next four games. He then set a new best with six boards in following game. He has 33 rebounds in the last seven games after recording 18 in the first 12 games. Duncan made the first start of his career at New Mexico (Jan. 21). He is leading the MW in three-point shooting during conference play, hitting 53.3 percent (16-of-30).
