THE GAME: Boise State (13-5, 4-1 MW) looks to bounce back from its first loss in six weeks when it hosts San José State (6-12, 1-5 MW) Wednesday, at Taco Bell Arena. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. MT.

ABOUT SAN JOSE STATE: The Spartans defeated Wyoming Jan. 13, to snap a 26-game conference losing streak. Four of their five league losses have come by single digits after keeping just two conference games within 10 points last year.

FIRST 50: James Webb III has played 50 games as a Bronco. Webb has led the team in rebounding 38 times and recorded 14 double-doubles (28 percent of his games). He has scored in double figures 33 times.

STREAK RENEWED?: Boise State saw its win streaks end at 10 games overall and 17 at home with a 56-53 loss Saturday, against San Diego State. The Broncos have not lost consecutive home games since Jan. 28 & Feb. 4, 2012. Last year Boise State had an eight-game win streak snapped and won the next seven.

LAST TIME: Boise State shot 1-for-17 from three-point range in a 56-53 loss to San Diego State Saturday, at Taco Bell Arena. James Webb III recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

ADVANTAGE AT THE LINE: In Boise State’s last 11 games, the Broncos are  averaging 27.3 free throw attempts per game, compared to 12.5 for their opponents. The Broncos have also shot a better percentage from the foul line in eight of the 11 games.

THREE-POINT THREAT: Nick Duncan is a career 37.2 percent three-point shooter, making 153 through the early stages of his junior year- already No. 11 in school history. Duncan recovered from an early slump in 2014-15 to shoot 38.4 percent on the year. He shot 46.5 percent from deep in the final 13 games of the season, helping Boise State to the NCAA Tournament.
