Bronco Men Fall in Fort Collins
FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Redshirt senior guard Westly Perryman scored a career-high 16 points to lead three Broncos in double figures, but the Boise State men's basketball team fell to Colorado State 66-55 at Moby Arena, Tuesday.

Freshman guard/forward Anthony Drmic added a career-high 12 rebounds for the Broncos, who dropped to 10-7 on the season and 0-2 in the Mountain West. The Rams improved to 13-4 overall and 2-0 in league play.

Sophomore forward Ryan Watkins added 12 points and sophomore guard Jeff Elorriaga chipped in 11.

The Rams led by as many as 14 in the opening half on the heels of a 63.6-percent clip from the 3-point line (7-of-11). All but three of the team's first-half field goals were 3-pointers, and the Broncos were unable to match the Rams at the other end of the floor.

Boise State went just 3-of-17 from beyond the arc (.176) in the opening period, but gave itself plenty of second chances with 11 offensive rebounds. Unfortunately, the Broncos were unable to capitalize, shooting just 27.0 percent from the floor.

Despite outrebounding CSU 22-15 - and recording just four turnovers - the Broncos entered intermission down 34-23.

The Broncos scored the first five points of the second half, cutting their deficit to six (34-28) - CSU's smallest lead since there were more than 14 minutes remaining in the opening half. But the Rams responded with a 7-2 run, pushing their advantage back to double digits.

The Rams hit just two 3-pointers in the second half - on five attempts - and the Broncos improved their shooting from the floor, knocking down 12-of-29 (.414). But the Rams ultimately extended their advantage to as many as 17 and held on for the win.

Boise State continues its first MW road trip Saturday at TCU. Tip-off between the Broncos and Horned Frogs is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., and the game will be nationally-televised by The Mtn.
