THE GAME: Boise State (13-4, 4-0 MW) hosts San Diego State (11-6, 4-0 MW) Saturday, in a battle of the Mountain West's last two undefeated teams. Tipoff is at 8 p.m. MT from Taco Bell Arena on ESPN2.

ABOUT SAN DIEGO STATE: The Aztecs won at Colorado State Wednesday, to improve to 4-0 in MW play. SDSU has scored at least 67 points in each game after averaging just 61.6 in MW games last year.

INSIDE THE SERIES: Since Boise State joined the Mountain West, the Bronco-Aztec series has been one of the league's best. They have met 10 times as league foes, including twice in the MW tournament, with SDSU scoring 61.8 ppg and Boise State 61.7. Boise State swept the series last year, winning 61-46 in Boise and 56-46 in San Diego. Six of the previous eight meetings were decided by four points or fewer.

STREAKS COLLIDE: Boise State has won 17 consecutive home games, including its last 10 in MW play. San Diego State has won its last six conference road games, dating to last season's Bronco win in Boise.

LAST TIME: Boise State ran its win streak to 10 games Wednesday, with a 74-67 win at Nevada. Mikey Thompson led the Broncos with 18 points, while James Webb III tallied 14 points and 14 rebounds.

10 IN A ROW: Boise State's current 10-game win streak matches the longest streak in program history, previously set in the 1987-88 season. It is the eighth time a Bronco team has won eight consecutive games, the fourth time under Leon Rice.

HOLDING COURT: Boise State is 71-15 at Taco Bell Arena under head coach Leon Rice, including a 40-2 mark in nonconference games, winning 37 of the last 38. Boise State has won 50 of its last 56 overall at home.

HOME WIN STREAK: The Broncos have won 17 straight at home. It is the longest home win streak under Leon Rice, the second-longest in program history and is tied for the 14th-longest active streak in the country.. The Broncos won 19 consecutive home games from March 2, 1997 to Jan. 17, 1999; and 16 consecutive home games from Jan. 15, 1994 to Jan. 7, 1995.

4-0 START: Boise State is 4-0 in Mountain West play for the first time. It is the fourth time in program history the Broncos have won their first four conference games and first time since starting 4-0 in the WAC during Leon Rice's first season in 2010-11. Boise State's best start to a conference season was 7-0 in the Big Sky during the 1987-88 campaign. 

ADAPTING AGAIN: After finding his place in the starting lineup midway through last year, Chandler Hutchison has become an even bigger factor this season off the bench. Hutchison started the first seven games this year playing 21.5 minutes per game. He has come off the bench the last 10 games and averaged 23.4 minutes. The Broncos are 10-0 since Hutchison began coming off the bench, while he is averaging 8.6 points and 5.5 rebounds.
