BOISE, Idaho – For the second consecutive game Robert Arnold led the Broncos in scoring with 18 points, but his efforts weren’t enough as Boise State fell to Louisiana Tech, 64-79, Monday.
Adding to Arnold’s point total was Anthony Thomas with 15, while senior Kurt Cunningham registered 10 points. Leading the way on defense for the Broncos was Ike Okoye as he grabbed 14 rebounds and registered 3 blocks and a pair of steals on the night.
While Boise State (9-8, 0-4 Western Athletic Conference) took advantage of Louisiana Tech’s (16-2, 4-0 WAC) turnovers, the difference in the game came on points in the paint and second chance points as the Bulldogs tallied 50 points to the Broncos 34.
Magnum Rolle led the Bulldogs with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Kyle Gibson added 17. Also finishing in double-figures for La Tech was DeAndre Brown with 15 and Jamel Guyton with 13.
The Broncos now look to turn things around as they make their second conference road trip of the season to face San Jose State, Thursday, and Utah State, Saturday.
