ABOUT FRESNO STATE: The Bulldogs are 2-2 in conference play with their last two games both going to overtime, as they dropped an 81-79 contest to Utah State (Wednesday, Jan. 3) and then won a 82-79 game against Colorado State (Saturday, Jan. 6), both of which were on the road.

Guard Deshon Taylor leads Fresno State in scoring, averaging 18.9 points per game. Forward Bryson Williams is second on the team in scoring (12.7 ppg) and is also the team's leading rebounder at 6.8 rebounds per game.

The Bulldogs have fared well defensively through the first half of the season, as their scoring defense average of 67.9 is third in the conference, right behind Boise State (66.2 avg.) at the No. 2 spot.

TIME TO BOUNCE BACK: The Broncos will be seeking a bounce-back game after a tough, 79-78 overtime loss at Wyoming. Boise State hasn't dropped back-to-back games all season, and will be looking to defeat Fresno State on the road for the first time since Jan. 23, 2013. The Broncos lead in the all-time series, however, 21-19.

REBOUNDING AT A HIGH LEVEL: Boise State is No. 7 in the NCAA with a +9.4 average rebounding margin, while its 31.1 defensive rebounds per game ranks No. 4. The Broncos have been especially great on the glass in conference play, outrebounding opponents by 61 through four conference games. Four Broncos are currently averaging five or more rebounds: Chandler Hutchison (8.3), Chris Sengfelder (6.3), Zach Haney (6.0) and Justinian Jessup (5.4).

LIMITING OPPONENT THREES: The Broncos' most impressive statistic to date has been 3-point defense, as the team has held opponents to 28.4 percent shooting from behind the arc (101-of-356), good for No. 5 in the NCAA. The Blue and Orange has held its opposition to under 10 threes in 15 of 16 games, as well.

HANEY EXCELLING IN MW PLAY: Zach Haney has been excellent in the first four conference games, averaging 12.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. He has scored in double figures in all four contests and earned his first career double-double against UNLV (Dec. 30) with 11 points and 11 boards.

EFFICIENT, AS WELL: The Broncos are shooting 50.8 percent from the field in Mountain West games, including a season-high 59.4 percent outing (38-of-64) against New Mexico (Jan. 3). Boise State shooting over 50 percent in the first three games of league play marked the first time in head coach Leon Rice's eight-year tenure that the team has gone over 50 percent from the field in three-straight games against Division I opponents.

HUTCHISON LEADING SCORER THROUGH FOUR: Averaging 25.0 points per game, Hutchison is the leading scorer in the Mountain West through four league games. The senior recently went for 27 against Wyoming (Jan. 6) - his third game this season scoring 25 or more points. His 27 was a product of his ability to get to the line, as he went for career highs in makes (14) and attempts (20) from the charity stripe against the Cowboys.
