Boise State (10-2) fell to SMU, 86-63, Monday night in Dallas, Texas at Moody Coliseum in the team's non-conference finale. Chandler Hutchison led the way with 18 points while Justinian Jessup and Chris Sengfelder chipped in 11 and nine points, respectively.

The Mustangs (9-3) are 8-0 at home this season and have won 30 straight at Moody, the second-longest active streak nationally.

The loss breaks up a six-game winning streak for the Broncos. The six-game winning streak was the longest for Boise State since winning seven in a row last season from Dec. 5, 2016 to Jan. 7, 2017.

The result also gives the Broncos a 10-2 record in the non-conference season. The last time Boise State had 10 wins in a non-conference season was the 2014-15 campaign. In addition, the non-conference winning percentage of .833 is the best winning percentage in a non-conference season since the 2012-13 team went 12-2 (.857).

SMU took the lead for good when Ben Emelogu hit a three to make it an 11-10 game midway through the first half. The Mustangs led 33-22 at halftime after holding the Broncos to 29.6-percent shooting from the field.

SMU finished shooting 58.9 percent from the field to Boise State's 37.7 percent.

Boise State will now prepare for Mountain West play as the team will welcome Colorado State to Taco Bell Arena in the conference opener, Wednesday, Dec. 27. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. and the game will broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
