BOISE, Idaho – Led by four players in double figures, the Boise State men’s basketball team closed its exhibition season with a 91-76 victory over Northwest Christian Saturday at Taco Bell Arena.

Chandler Hutchison tied for the team highs with 15 points and nine rebounds, Justinian Jessup added 15 points, Nick Duncan chipped in 14 and Paris Austin had 15 points, nine rebounds and a game-high seven assists.

Jessup scored the game’s first nine points as the Broncos built a 12-0 lead to open the scoring, and looked prime to run away with things, leading by as many as 19 in the first half. Northwest Christian was able to cut its deficit to single digits by halftime however, and ultimately grabbed a 61-60 lead with 11:36 remaining in the second half.

The Beacons were only able to extend their advantage to three points, and once Jessup reclaimed a 69-68 lead on a free throw with 6:32 remaining, the Broncos closed the game on a 22-8 run to cruise to victory.

Duncan and Austin eclipsed double-figure scoring in each of the Broncos’ two exhibition games, while Hutchison averaged 11 rebounds per contest.

The Broncos are slated to open the 2016-17 regular season against Northwest University next Saturday (Nov. 12), with tip scheduled for 1 p.m. at Taco Bell Arena.
