BOISE, Idaho (AP) Boise State extended its win streak to three games and took over sole possession of first place in the Mountain West with a 72-70 victory Saturday, over Utah State at Taco Bell Arena. The Broncos (15-7, 8-3 MW) led the last 10 minutes, making enough free throws down the stretch to hold off the Aggies (10-12, 4-7 MW).

Chandler Hutchison led the way with 18 points, including 11 in the second half. Hutchison was 8-for-13 from the field, and had a team-high six rebounds.

Paris Austin came off the bench to score 16 points and added a team-high four assists. Austin has scored at least 15 points each of the last three games, all in a reserve role.

Utah State led 48-45 with 11 minutes to play. Boise State reclaimed the lead with a 9-0 run. The run was started with a Justinian Jessup three-pointer to tie the game and capped by two fastbreak buckets from Alex Hobbs, putting the Broncos ahead 54-48.

The Broncos seized control with a 6-0 run late in the second half where Boise State had possession for 124 of 146 seconds, including four offensive rebounds. The run included one possession that lasted 70 seconds and ended with a James Reid three-pointer to put Boise State up by nine at 62-53 with 4:53 to play.

Robin Jorch grabbed two of the four offensive rebounds in that stretch, during his only four minutes of playing time.

Boise State held Utah State's leading scorer Jalen Moore to four points on 1-of-10 shooting. Alexis Dargenton and Sam Merrill led Utah State with 14 points each.

Boise State does not play again until Saturday (Feb. 11), at home against Air Force. It will be the first meeting of the season between the Broncos and Falcons.
