LARAMIE, Wyo. – Boise State (13-3, 3-1) held a 43-27 halftime lead, but Wyoming (11-5, 2-1) was able to surge back in the second half to eventually claim the 79-78 lead in overtime.

Chandler Hutchison led the way with 27 points – his third game this season scoring 25 or more points – while Justinian Jessup grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

Zach Haney continued his double-digit scoring streak, pouring in 15 points to go with seven rebounds.

Wyoming started the second half on an 11-0 run to open the second and eventually took its first lead of the game (57-56) with 8:08 to play. Boise State battled, however, and eventually reclaimed the 68-67 lead with 1:31 to play off a Hutchison 3-pointer.

The Broncos had the ball with it being a tie game at 70-70 (16 seconds to play), but Hutchison’s layup just went in-and-out, sending the game to overtime.

In overtime, Hutchison hit a jumper to give Boise State a three-point lead with 2:59 left, but the Broncos went 0 for 4 from the field from there. Louis Adams hit two free throws and Kelley hit a 3-pointer to give Wyoming a 78-76 lead with 1:06 to play and neither team scored again until Kelley made 1-of-2 free throws with four seconds left. Hutchison hit two free throws but, after a Wyoming turnover, his heave at the buzzer fell short.

Hutchison hit 14-of-20 free throws.

The Broncos will now prepare for another road game, as they will face Fresno State on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 9 p.m. (MT). The game will air on ESPNU.
