LOGAN, Utah (AP) Boise State men's basketball shot 70.8 percent from the floor in the second half to run away with a 76-61 win over Utah State, Tuesday in Logan, Utah. Four Broncos scored at least a dozen points to help Boise State (11-4, 2-0 MW) win its eighth straight game and improve to 2-0 in conference play for the first time since joining the Mountain West.

Mikey Thompson scored 17 points to lead the Broncos and go with six rebounds and six assists. Chandler Hutchison and Nick Duncan each chipped in 15, while James Webb III scored 12 points.

Senior Anthony Drmic was held scoreless for the first time since his freshman year but grabbed a season-high nine rebounds for Boise State.

Leading by two at halftime, the Broncos extended their lead to 42-34 after an 11-2 run, but the Aggies closed to within 47-46 on Julion Pearre's 3 at 13:28. Hutchison had two dunks amid an 16-4 that pushed the lead into double figures.

Boise State eventually led 70-55 after Thompson's crossover and finish with 3:25 left and went on to win by the same margin.

The Broncos shot 47.8 percent from the floor in the first half to help offset 12 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes and take a 31-29 lead into the locker room. They came out in the second half and made 12 of their first 14 shots, going on to shoot better than 70 percent in the half and finish the game at a season-high 59.6 percent from the field. It is Boise State's best field goal percentage in a conference game since 2008.

Boise State has won eight consecutive games, matching last season's longest win streak. It is the eighth time in school history Boise State has won at least eight games in a row and the fourth time under Leon Rice. Boise State has not won nine straight since the 1991-92 season.

The Broncos will look to make it nine in a row Saturday, against Fresno State- the team that ended Boise State's most recent eight-game win streak. Tipoff is at 4 p.m. at Taco Bell Arena.

Jalen Moore scored 18 points to lead the Aggies (9-5, 1-2).
