Full List of Honorees

BOISE, Idaho – Four Boise State cross country athletes were announced as 2013 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honorees Monday evening (Nov. 18). Each region’s top-25 men’s and women’s finishers were awarded the honor.

Jeff Howard, Allan Schroeder and David Elliott earned honors for the Bronco men, while Emma Bates was the sole women’s team member honored.

Howard, a redshirt senior, earned his second career honor after placing seventh in the men’s NCAA West Regional 10-kilometer race held Friday, Nov. 15. The Spokane, Wash., native adds this season’s award to his 2010 honor when he placed 17th at the NCAA West Regional.

Schroeder, Elliott and Bates each earned their first-career USTFCCCA All-Region honors Monday. Schroeder, a senior, garnered the award after placing 14th, while Elliott, a junior, earned his award after placing 18th in the men’s race.

Bates adds the USTFCCCA All-Region honor to her NCAA West Region champion title. The redshirt junior raced to the school’s first NCAA West Region title, punching her first ticket to the NCAA National Championships.

Howard and Bates are set to represent the Broncos at the 2013 NCAA National Cross Country Championships, Saturday, Nov. 23, in Terre Haute, Ind.
