The MW Freshman of the Year will compete at NCAA Nationals

BOISE, Idaho--
The NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee announced Saturday the team and individual qualifiers for the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships, and Boise State's Andrew Rafla was selected to compete.

Rafla, a freshman from Boise, Idaho, finished 11th in the 10-kilometer race in 29:50.6 at Friday's NCAA West Regional. Rafla became eligible for selection with his top-25, all-region finish. He will join the ranks of Jeff Howard, Forest Braden, Thomas Carey and Jose Uribe to compete on the national stage for the Boise State men's program.

The Mountain West Freshman of the Year will join the Boise State women's team who auto qualified for Nationals with their second-place finish at West Regionals.

Indiana State will host the 2014 NCAA Cross Country Championships at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center on Nov. 22.

The women's 6-kilometer race will begin at 10 a.m. (MT), followed by the men's 10-kilometer race at 11 a.m. (MT).
