INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA released the men's and women's fields for the NCAA Division I Cross Country National Championships on Saturday afternoon, and the Boise State men's team was officially selected as one of the 13 at-large teams, joining 18 others who automatically qualified yesterday in their respective regions.

Today's news means that both the men's and women's teams will be competing at nationals on Nov. 21 in Louisville, Ky., making it the first time in school history that both teams earned berths to nationals in the same season.

"I'm excited for both groups, they've worked so hard," said head coach Corey Ihmels. "Coach Hartke, Coach Howard, our whole staff have worked hard to assemble this group, and to see some reward for that is exciting. Really pumped for the kids to have another chance to run."

The men's and women's teams both have one previous trip to nationals each. The men took eighth place in 1996 and the women took 11th last year in 2014. The top individual finishes in school history is José Uribe on the men's side from the 1996 season when he took 12th, and Emma Bates for the women when she took second in 2013.

The championships will take place at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, with both the men's and women's fields consisting of 31 teams. The women's race will begin at noon (ET), followed by the men's race at approximately 1 p.m. (ET). A live webcast of the championships will be broadcast from noon until the conclusion of the awards ceremony on NCAA.com. Stay tuned for more information on the championships later this week.
