Cross Country Heads to Caldwell to Compete in College of Idaho's Coyote Twilight

► What's Happening - The Boise State cross country stays close to home and competes on a Thursday evening rather than Saturday morning this week. The Broncos head across the valley to Caldwell, Idaho to compete in the College of Idaho Coyote Twilight Meet on Thursday, Oct. 22.

► Meet Specifics - The College of Idaho Coyote Twilight is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start at Fairview Golf Course in Caldwell. The women's 5-kilometer race will kick-off the evening, followed by the men's 8-kilometer race at 5:45 p.m.

The Fairview Golf Course is located in downtown Caldwell (Take Exit 28 off I-84, approximately two miles south - start/finish line is at 10th Avenue and Logan Street).  The race will be a loop of the east side of the golf course with various terrain and surfaces.  

► Coyote Twilight Teams - College of Idaho, Boise State, Northwest Nazarene, Eastern Oregon and Treasure Valley Community College.

► A Look Back - The Broncos have now competed in four meets this season with the men placing first in two meets, second in the third and fifth in their most recent meet. The women have placed second, third, seventh and 28th in their four meets this season. Shannon Porter has led the women in all four races, snagging a first place finish at the Roger Curran. The Bronco men have been led by Sawyer Bosch in the last three races while Kevin Higgs was the top finisher at the Roger Curran Invite.

► In General -
The Broncos are prepping for their final regular season meet of 2009. The team also has a guaranteed trip to the WAC Championships in Reno, Nev., on Oct. 31 and could potentially go on to compete in the NCAA West Region Championships as well as the NCAA National Championships.

► Athletes of the Week- The Boise State men have captured three WAC Athlete of the Week honors while the women have also won two this season.
