BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State men’s and women’s cross country teams each ranked No. 2 in the second of two Mountain West midseason coaches polls released Friday. The Bronco women remained as the No. 2 choice by the league coaches, while the men moved up one spot to No. 2.

Boise State’s women began the season at No. 2 in the preseason poll, while remaining in that spot throughout the first and second midseason polls. The women made small improvements from the Sept. 27 poll, earning one additional point (now at 91) as well as an additional first-place vote (now at 2).

The Bronco men began the season tied for third before moving to the sole holder of No. 3 in the first midseason poll. This week the men move up one spot to tie with Colorado State for the No. 2 spot with 42-points each. The Broncos have a slight edge, however, earning three first-place votes to the Rams’ two votes. The two teams sit just one point away from No. 1 in the rankings.

New Mexico continues to lead the polls for both the men and women earning 43-points and 99-points respectively. The Lobo men earned three first-place votes in the most recent poll, while the women ran away with nine.

The 2013 Mountain West Cross Country Championships will be held by the Air Force Academy at the Eisenhower Blue Course, Friday, Nov. 1.
