Watson Named Co-Athlete of the Week, Broncos Jump in Rankings
BOISE, Idaho -- Boise State senior Barak Watson has been named the Mountain West Men's Cross Country Co-Athlete of the Week for races contested Oct. 8-14, 2012. Watson shares the honor with New Mexico junior Sean Stam, both earning the first MW honors of their careers.

Watson, a native of Nampa, Idaho, recorded a career-best time of 23:59 over 8-kilometers to place 43rd at the 2012 Pre-National Invitational in Louisville, Ky., last week. Watson was the top Bronco finisher, helping the team to a 13th-place finish.

Moving On Up
After a solid weekend of competition the Boise State men's and women's cross country teams have jumped in the USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country rankings released Oct. 15, both moving to No. 9 in the West Region. The Bronco men jumped four spots from No. 14 in the Oct. 1 rankings, while the women moved up one spot from No. 10. The No. 9 ranking is the highest this season for both the men and women.

With a weekend off from competition and new rankings, the Broncos will take those regional rankings into next week's 2012 Mountain West Cross Country Championship.
