Boise, Idaho--The Boise State women’s cross country team continues to make program history when the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) ranked the Broncos 16th in the nation on Tuesday.

The Broncos have earned their highest ranking ever for the third time this year. Although the Broncos did not compete this past weekend, an impressive fourth-place finish at the Roy Griak Invitational (Sept. 27) coupled with some shifts in the top-25 helped elevate the Blue and Orange to its highest ranking in program history.

This is the fourth-straight week the Broncos are in the national weekly rankings, previously sitting at No. 19, No. 20 and No. 17 in weeks one, two and three, respectively.

In the USTFCCCA weekly regional rankings, the Bronco women sit fourth and the men rank eighth in the West.

Next up for the Broncos is the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin on Oct. 17.
