Women's Cross Country Climbs to No. 17 in Nation
Sept. 30, 2014

BOISE, Idaho—The Boise State women’s cross country team reached a new height in program history when the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) ranked the Broncos 17th in the nation on Tuesday.

In a loaded field with seven top-30 programs, the Bronco women placed fourth of 35 teams this past Saturday at the Roy Griak Invitational. Four Broncos finished the invite in the top-60 individually, helping the Broncos to their fourth-place showing and now highest national ranking in 20 seasons of USTFCCCA polling.

This is the third-straight week the Broncos are in the national weekly rankings, previously sitting at No. 19 and No. 20 in weeks one and two, respectively.

In the USTFCCCA weekly regional rankings, the Bronco women sit fourth and the men moved up two spots to No. 7 in the West.

Next up for the Broncos is the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin on Oct. 17.
