BOISE, Idaho - Boise State's women's and men' cross country teams stand firm in second and third, respectively, in the 2013 Mountain West Midseason Cross Country Coaches Polls released this week.

The women were selected as the No. 2 team in the preseason poll and hold tight to the spot in the midseason poll with 90-ponts and one first-place vote.

The men, who were tied for third in the preseason poll, hold the No. 3 spot on their own in the midseason poll with 34-points.

New Mexico leads both midseason polls with the women earning 100-points and 10 first-place votes, while the men tallied 49-points and seven first-place votes.

The Bronco men continue to rank sixth in the USTFCCCA West Region rankings, while the women remain at eighth after three idle weeks.

The men moved into the `receiving votes' section of the nation's top-30 rankings during the first week of national rankings (Sept. 17), earning the in-season nod for the first time in school history. The men remain just outside the top-30 in the second week of the season. The women made history Sept. 24 when they made their way into the `receiving votes' teams for the first time in school history.

Boise State cross country will continue its season at the Bill Dellinger Invitational, Oct. 5, in Springfield, Ore. The meet, hosted by the University of Oregon at Springfield Country Club, will be the second of the season for the Broncos. Slated to begin at 11:30 a.m. (MT), the men's 8-kilometer race will precede the women's 5-kilometer race scheduled for 12:15 p.m. (MT).
