BOISE, Idaho -- The Boise State cross country team has made a move in the 2013 USTFCCCA rankings, jumping in the West Rankings and making an appearance near the nation’s top-30.

The Bronco men jumped from No. 9 in the 2013 Preseason Poll to No. 6 in the USTFCCCA West Rankings, while the women jumped from No. 10 in the preseason to No. 8 this week. The Broncos have never been ranked during the season, but have held a final season ranking of eighth (1996) after the NCAA Championships.

Although they’ve been idle the past two weeks, the Bronco men jumped in just outside of the nation’s top-30 rankings in the first week of national rankings. For the first time in school history, the men have been named as a “Receiving Votes” team, sitting just beyond the top-30 ranked teams.

The Broncos’ schedule shows the Coyote Twilight as the next meet, however only unattached runners will compete at the Sept. 21st meet. Boise State will compete in uniform at the Bill Dellinger Invitational, hosted by University of Oregon, Oct. 5, in Springfield, Ore.
