Bronco Men, Women Picked Fifth in Mountain West

BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State men's and women's cross country teams were each selected to finish the season at No. 5 according to the 2011 Mountain West coaches' poll released Wednesday (Aug. 31).  

The Boise State women picked up 23 points finishing fifth among eight teams, while the men collected 11 points ranking fifth among six teams.

New Mexico swept the top spots on both polls with the women earning 49 points (seven first-place votes) and the men earning 22 points (four first-place votes). The Lobos swept the men's and women's 2010 Mountain West cross country titles.

The 2011 Mountain West Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colo., on Oct. 29.
