Broncos Tabbed Second, Third in MW Preseason Rankings

BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State women's and men's cross country teams were picked to finish second and tied for third, respectively, in the Mountain West Preseason Coaches' Poll, released Thursday.

The women, who finished second at the 2013 MW Championships, garnered 92 points and four first-place votes, just behind New Mexico (97 points, seven first-place points). Colorado State took the third slot (82 points), followed by Wyoming (63), Utah State (61), Air Force (58), Nevada (54), Fresno State (41), San Diego State (25), San José State (18) and UNLV (17).

The Boise State men, who finished fourth at the 2013 MW Championships, collected 35 points. Defending champion New Mexico topped the poll with 49 points and seven first-place points, while Colorado State tallied 40 points and one first-place point for second place in the poll. Boise State tied with Air Force for third with 35 points, followed by Wyoming (23), Utah State (22), Fresno State (13) and San José State (7).
