Broncos Announce 2012 Cross Country Schedule

BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State cross country program released its 2012 schedule, featuring eight meets including two in the Treasure Valley.

Head coach J.W. Hardy and his Broncos will compete close to home twice, beginning on Sat., Sept. 8 at the fifth annual Roger Curran Invitational in Nampa, Idaho. The Roger Curran Invitational will be hosted by Northwest Nazarene University at Nampa's West Park. For the second local meet Boise State will host its own compeition, the Boise State Invitational, on Sat., Oct. 6 at Ann Morrison Park.

The Broncos' 2012 agenda also includes high profile meets such at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sat., Sept. 29 in St. Paul, Minn., and the 2012 Pre-National Invitational on Sat., Oct. 13 in Louisville, Ky. The Roy Griak Invite, hosted by the University of Minnesota, is one of the largest meets in the country and includes numerous divisions of competition. The University of Louisville plays host to the Pre-National Invitate which serves as a pre-cursor to the 2012 NCAA National Championships which will be held in the same location, Louisville's E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.

The 38 th annual Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational is the final regular season meet on the docket for the Broncos. The Charles Bowles Invite will take place on Sat., Sept. 29 in Salem, Ore.

For post-season competition, the Broncos head to Las Vegas, Nev., on Fri., Oct. 26 for the 2012 Mountain West Championships hosted by UNLV. Two weeks later they will travel north to Seattle, Wash., for the 2012 NCAA DI West Region Championships on Sat., Nov. 10, followed by the NCAA National Championships on Sat., Nov. 17 in Louisville, Ky.
