RENO, Nev. --
Allie Ostrander wrote another chapter in her storybook season on Friday by winning the Mountain West Championship at the Montreux Golf Club with a time of 21:49.97. With the victory she becomes just the second freshman in Mountain West history to win the individual title on the women's side, joining BYU's Kassi Andersen (2002).

The freshman completely swept the individual honors, winning Mountain West Athlete of the Year, Freshman of the Year and also earning First-Team All-Mountain West honors. She crossed the finish line 15 seconds clear of New Mexico's Courtney Frerichs (22:05.19), giving the Kenai, Alaska native her third collegiate victory of the season.

Competing on a course that featured rolling hills, sharp turns and massive inclines, the No. 9 women's team did all they could to keep up with No. 1 New Mexico. The Broncos ended up with 71 points to take second place while New Mexico ran away with the day after recording just 24.

Brenna Peloquin took eighth place with a time of 22:56.17 to secure the No. 2 time for the Broncos. Anna Holdiman was close behind, taking 11th after crossing the line in 23:28.56 as Boise State's third scorer. Both Peloquin and Holdiman earned Second-Team All-MW honors with their performances.

Charlotte Corless ran arguably her best race of the season with a 24:11.01, good for 20th place. Boise State's fifth scorer was Alexis Fuller after she took 32nd with a time of 24:52.67.

Gracie Tostenson took 54th (25:42.29) and Ali Deitsch placed 62nd (26:13.69).

The men's race was expected to be a close race, and the teams did not disappoint. The Broncos earned 56 points to take third, Colorado State recorded 53 points for second and Air Force claimed the title with 49. The third-place finish is the best finish for the men's team in MW Championship history.

Michael Vennard led the charge yet again, running a gritty race to take fifth place after clocking a 26:40.37. The First-Team All-MW performer improved on his 14th-place day from last year's championships and continues to assert himself as the Broncos' catalyst on the men's side.

Elijah Armstrong used a fast final kilometer to surge to the front of the race and earn ninth (27:00.70), giving him his best finish of the year. Chandler Austin also had a career day after recording a 27:03.56 for 12th place. Rhys Park was the fourth scoring Bronco, finishing in 14th (27:07.28). Armstrong, Austin and Park all secured Second-Team All-MW honors with their finishes.

Addison Dehaven (27:14.35) and Dan Oekerman (27:28.83) took 16th and 17th, respectively, as the fifth and sixth Boise State runners, and Louis McAfee cracked the top-25 with a time of 27:55.78 for 24th. John Rodeheffer (28:12.28) took 34th and Riley Campbell placed 35th (28:13.21).

The four All-MW awards for the men is the most for the men's program in their five years in the Mountain West. Since Elijah Armstrong was the top freshman in the field, he nabbed Mountain West Men's Freshman of the Year honors, giving the Broncos a clean sweep in the category with Allie Ostrander.

As for streaks, it's the third-straight year that a Bronco won the women's individual title (Emma Bates -- 2013, 2014), and the two freshman awards make it the second-straight year that Boise State swept the honor in both men's and women's competition (Emma Hyyppä and Andrew Rafla -- 2014).

The Broncos will be back in action at the NCAA West Regional meet on Friday, Nov. 13 in Seattle.
