Peloquin Sixth, Men 19th at Nationals

Brenna Peloquin was sixth in the women's race and the men were 19th as a team at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind.


Nationals Set for Terre Haute

The men's team along with Brenna Peloquin will travel to Terre Haute, Ind., and compete in the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships this Saturday at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course

2017-18: CROSS COUNTRY- Crucial All-West Region performance at the West Region Championships, finishing as the No. 2 Bronco in 21st, running 29:55.6 for 10k (Nov. 10) . . . Appeared for Boise State at the NCAA Championships (Nov. 18) . . . No. 5 runner for Boise State at the Mountain West Championships, running 24:38.32 for 8k (Oct. 27) . . .  Appeared for Boise State at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational (Oct. 13) . . . Opened the season with a fifth-place showing at the Greater Louisville Classic, running 23:35.82 for 8k to lead Boise State (Sept. 30)

2016-17: CROSS COUNTRY - Named an All-American after taking 18th at the NCAA National Championships (10k – 30:10.8), securing the second-best individual finish at nationals on the men’s side in school history…prior to winning at nationals, Uchikoshi also excelled at the NCAA West Regional and took 21st to earn USTFCCCA All-West Region honors (30:06.8)…was victorious at the Mountain West Championships, capturing the individual title after finishing the 8k course in 23:48.8…his performance at the conference championships also secured him the Mountain West Cross Country Athlete of the Year honors along with first-team all-league honors …Kicked off the year by taking 12th at the Sagebrush Invitational, finishing the 7K course in 21:30.96…was the top finisher for the Broncos at the Roy Griak Invitational, finishing the 8K course in 25:18.5 for seventh place…also was the low stick for Boise State at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, taking 33rd place (24:27.1)...INDOOR – Logged a solid indoor season competing in primarily the mile and 3,000m…took fourth in the mile at the conference championships, crossing the finish line in 4:12.30 to pick up five points for the Broncos…posted his mile PR at the Husky Classic, clocking a 4:05.54…also competed at the UW Invitational in both the mile (4:09.70) and 3,000m (8:27.43)…started his season at the Ed Jacoby Invitational and recorded a 4:13.15 to win the mile, and was also second in the 800m (1:56.41)…OUTDOOR – Won the 3,000m steeplechase title at the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships, running a 9:13.72…qualified to the NCAA West Preliminary Championships in the 3,000m steeplechase, taking 19th with a 9:07.64…also picked up three more points at the conference championships with a sixth-place day in the 5k (15:27.46)…fourth in the 1,500m (4:01.78) at the Border Clash…ran a career-best 8:48.88 in the steeplechase at the Mt. SAC Relays…started the year in the 1,500m at the Stanford Invitational, posting a 3:51.96.

2015-16: INDOOR – Joined the Broncos at winter break and immediately began competing in the long distance races…started at the Ed Jacoby Invite and helped the DMR team to a fourth-place day with a 10:41.05, and also ran a 4:24.69 in the mile to take 14th…competed at the UW Invitational in the 3,000m and clocked a 8:25.92…ran a season-best 8:19.99 in the 3,000m at the Husky Classic in the 3,000m…logged a 8:48.05 in the 3k at the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships...OUTDOOR - Steadily improved throughout the outdoor season, culminating in an outstanding performance at the conference championships…earned All-Mountain West honors in the 5,000m, taking third place after clocking a season-best 14:13.56…he was just shy of all conference in the 3,000m steeplechase as he ran a 9:11.87 to take fourth place…competed in the Border Clash and took 15th in the 800m (1:56.81) and 16th in the 1,500m (4:05.60)…his best 1,500m time of the year came at the Stanford Twilight, as he recorded a 3:49.97…also ran at the Stanford Invitational.
