McAuley Announced as Sprints Coach

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State University Track and Field Head Coach Mike Maynard announced, Monday, that Jeff McAuley will be joining the track and field program as an assistant coach with a focus on sprints and hurdles.


McAuley joins the Broncos after spending the previous two seasons as the assistant track and field coach and recruiting coordinator for the University of South Carolina. He helped guide the women’s team to a Southeastern Conference in 2005 along with finishing in the top five at the NCAA Championships on three occasions. While at USC, he also helped coach the 2006 NCAA 200-meter Champion, Natasha Hastings. Under his guidance the Gamecocks established seven school-records and many others earned All-American honors.


McAuley has also served as an assistant women’s track and field coach for Pennsylvania State University (2002-04) and the associate head track and field coach for California State University-Northridge (2001-02).
