Current Bronco Sadi Henderson along with Boise State alums Marisa Howard and David Elliott will compete this week at the United States Track and Field (USATF) Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, Calif., at Sacramento State’s Hornet Stadium from June 22-25. The three athletes will be competing for the opportunity to represent Team USA at the IAAF World Championships in London from August 4-13.

Athletes qualified to the USATF Outdoor Championships by attaining the qualifying standard at some point in the last year. In order to earn a spot on Team USA, athletes will need to place in the top three of their respective events.

Henderson will run in the first round of the 800m on Thursday at 6:25 p.m. (MT), Howard will compete in the 3,000m steeplechase semifinal also on Thursday at 9:13 p.m. and Elliott will toe the line in the 5,000m final on Friday at 10:10 p.m.

WATCH: The championships will be broadcast on both NBC and the NBC Sports Network. See below for the detailed broadcast schedule:

Sadi Henderson (800m)
The rising redshirt junior punched her ticket to the USATF Outdoor Championships by running a 2:02.33 on June 11 at the Portland Track Festival. The time would be the Mountain West record if it would have been contested within the collegiate season. The 2:02.33 came on the heels of a 10th-place performance at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships that secured second team All-America honors, but was just short of qualifying for the final.

Marisa Howard (3,000m Steeplechase)
After being unable to compete at the 2016 Olympic Trials due to injury, Howard – who runs professionally for Oiselle – will be running in the steeplechase thanks to a 9:40.40 that came at the USATF Distance Classic in May, solidifying her qualifying spot for this week. Howard’s career-best time of 9:37.84 (also the school record) came at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, giving the then-senior fourth place in what was a stacked field.

David Elliott (5,000m)
Elliott secured his spot in the 5k when he won the Stanford Invitational 5,000m on April 1 thanks to a 13:36.68 in a field that was loaded with the top collegians and professional runners in the country. Elliott has not competed since Stanford, but he logged plenty of big-race experience over the course of his Bronco career. Competing in mostly the mile and 1,500m at previous NCAA Championships, he finished his time at Boise State with four All-America honors.
