Men's Full Entry List | Women's Full Entry List

Meet Schedule

BOISE, Idaho --
The NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field West Region Preliminary Championship field was announced Thursday and 10 Boise State athletes -- five each from the women's and men's teams -- will represent the Blue and Orange next weekend in Lawrence, Kan., from May 26-28. The championships will be hosted by the University of Kansas at Rock Chalk Park.

Each event is comprised of 48 competitors, with individuals seeking a top-12 finish for a berth to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., which will take place from June 8-11 at Hayward Field.

Brenna Peloquin qualified and accepted entries into two different races, as the freshman will compete in the 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter runs. Peloquin comes into the championships with the No. 6 5,000-meter time (15:55.43) and the No. 3 10,000-meter time (33:03.48). Both of Peloquin's times make her the second-fastest Bronco in school history in each event.

Minttu Hukka enters the regional as the No. 24 3,000-meter steeplechase competitor in the field, having qualified thanks to her 10:14.06 at the Mountain West Championships this past weekend. The time earned her second place at the championships, and was also good enough to make her the second-fastest 3,000-meter steeplechase runner in school history.

Tansey Lystad clocked a 16:17.85 in the 5,000 meters at the Stanford Twilight to qualify. The graduate student will compete as the No. 26-ranked runner.

Courtney Hutchinson earned a qualifying mark thanks to her sensational performance at the conference championships. On her last throw of the day, the junior threw an outdoor-career-best 49-7 (15.11m). The mark was good for third place at the championships, the last qualifying spot at regionals (No. 48) and the third-best shot put mark in school history.

The last qualifier on the women's side, Gracie Tostenson, ran her qualifying time (16:27.76) in the 5,000-meter run at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival, also making her the last competitor (No. 48) to get in to the 48-person field.

The men will be led by three-time All-America honoree David Elliott. The redshirt senior will compete in the 1,500 meters, a race where he took eighth place last year at the national championships. His time of 3:42.76 puts him No. 13 in the field.

Jeff Lautenslager will also be competing in the 1,500-meter run, having qualified as the No. 36 runner after recording a 3:44.77 at the Oregon Twilight a month ago.

Fernando Martinez -- the 400-meter hurdles runner-up at the conference championships -- got in as the No. 15 hurdler. The junior clocked a 51.05 at the Broncos' lone home outdoor meet of the season, the Border Clash.

Fellow sprinter Dusty Fisher will compete in the 200-meter dash (No. 37 competitor). His 20.97 in the preliminaries at the conference championships booked him a ticket to Lawrence.

Andrew Rafla will round out the Boise State competitors and run in the 5,000-meter run. His 14:01.72 gives him the No. 38 time entering the weekend.
