Hanson Races to Boise State's No. 2 All-Time Mark

EUGENE, Ore. - Boise State's Shea Hanson led a group of five Broncos at the 2012 Oregon Twilight meet Saturday (May 5) evening. Hanson, a senior, raced in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field, crossing the finish in a time of 10:43.45, a career-best time and Boise State's second-best all-time mark in the event.

The Meridian, Idaho, native picked up a 10 th-place finish, while her teammate Kate Jette raced to a 13th-place finish in the event. Jette clocked a time of 11:07.88.

In the men's 3000-meters, Zach Wiles represented the Broncos, racing to a career-best time of 9:05.25 and a seventh-place finish.

Dusty Klein also raced at the Oregon Twilight meet, clocking 1:52.18 in the 800-meters. Klein picked up a ninth-place finish in the fast heat, good for an 11 th-place finish overall.

Chris Manuele wrapped up the five Bronco competitors at the Oregon Twilight, with the highest finish of the five donning blue and orange. Manuele set a new outdoor best mark of 15'-11", tying for fourth-place in the pole vault.

Michelle Glass also competed on Saturday, the sole Bronco at the Oxy Invitational hosted by Occidental College in Los Angeles. Glass participated in the high] jump, tying for 17 th-place after clearing 5'-0.25".

The six total Broncos who competed this weekend will join their teammates next week to compete at the 2012 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships, May 9-12 at Air Force.
