Lautenslager to Run at Oregon Twilight

Jeff Lautenslager will be the only Bronco competing this weekend, as the sophomore will head to Eugene, Ore., to compete in the Oregon Twilight on Friday, May 6. The Nelson, New Zealand native will be running in the 1,500-meter race at 7:45 p.m. (MT).

Lautenslager will be vying for a regional qualifying time in the event. As of today, the No. 48 time in the NCAA West Region (the last qualifying spot) stands at 3:44.96. Lautenslager ran a 3:47.47 two weeks ago at the Stanford Twilight, currently giving him the No. 89 time in the region.

OTHER BRONCOS IN THE WEST REGION: After last weekend’s action, a couple additional Broncos earned top-48 times and now find themselves in the mix for a qualifying spot for the NCAA West Regional Championships on May 26-28 in Lawrence, Kansas. Here are the athletes who are currently qualified:

MOUNTAIN WEST CHAMPIONSHIPS: The Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place next week at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif., from May 11-14, hosted by Fresno State. For more information on the conference championships, click HERE.
