Henderson to Run at Oregon Twilight
May 4, 2017

Meet Schedule | Watch Live (Pac-12 Network)

Sadi Henderson will be the lone representative for the Blue and Orange this weekend when she travels to Eugene, Ore., to compete in the Oregon Twilight this Friday, May 5. The redshirt sophomore will run in the 800m premiere race at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.

Henderson will race at 7:02 p.m. (MT) in the first event of the evening that will broadcast on the Pac-12 Network. Click HERE for more information on how to get the Pac-12 Network.

The Corvallis, Mont., native will be running against several professional runners such as Alexa Efraimson (Nike), Annie LeBlanc, Anna Connor and Dana Mecke.

Henderson’s 2:04.39 that she ran at the Sun Angel Classic on April 6 is the fastest 800m time in the Mountain West this season and also makes her a virtual lock for the NCAA West Regional Preliminary Championships (May 25-27) in Austin, Texas, as she is currently No. 6 in the west region.

The 2:04.39 shattered the previous school record and cemented Henderson’s spot atop both the indoor and outdoor 800m school all-time performance lists.

She is coming off an indoor season where she captured the Mountain West 800m individual crown, helped the Bronco distance medley relay team win at the conference championships and earned Second-Team All-America honors in the 800m after taking 14th at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The remainder of the Boise State track and field team will continue training and prepare for the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships, set for May 10-13 in Logan, Utah on the campus of Utah State at Ralph Maughan Track Stadium.
