Broncos Complete Robinson Invitational

PROVO, Utah The Boise State University track and field team only sent a select number of runners to the Robinson Invitational in Provo, Utah, Apr. 25-26, and those that attended the meet did not disappoint.


Kayleen McDowell secured her place atop the Western Athletic Conference as she registered a time of 2:09.52 in the women’s 800m dash to finish third in the event at the meet and improve her NCAA Regional qualifying time.


Nick Cunningham won the men’s 100m dash with a time of 10.81. He currently owns the third-best time in the WAC in the event with a 10.61 which he posted Apr. 18, at the Azusa Pacific Invitational.


Breanna Sande and Carly Gerard finished three-four in the women’s 5,000m run with times of 18:27.09 and 18:27.97, respectively.


Caleb Cazier recorded a season-best 1:55.10 in the men’s 800m to capture third place in the event at the meet.


In the men’s 5,000m race, Sawyer Bosch took fourth place with the time of 15:23.33 while Brian Pierre recorded a 15:28.25 to finish seventh.


Leah Hover and Pamila Ward finished seven-eight in the women’s 1,500m race with times of 4:54.58 and 5:04.36, respectively.


Erin Harris took eighth place in the women’s 400m dash in the time of 1:01.49.


Boise State will now return home to host the Bronco Twilight Classic Friday, May 2, at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho.
