BOISE STATE EARNS THREE TOP-10 FINISHES ON SECOND DAY OF MT. SAC RELAYS

WALNUT, Calif. Day-two of the 51st annual Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. is in the books, which saw Boise State place student-athletes in the top-10 of three events at the prestigious meet.

            Per Strandquist led the Bronco men with a third-place finish in the collegiate division long jump. Strandquist recorded a mark of 23-08.25 (7.22m) in his first outdoor long jump competition of the spring. Chase Sexton earned the men’s other top-10 finish of the day, placing eighth in the shot put with a throw of 51-06.50 (15.71m).

            For the women, Nerisha Phillip recorded the only top-10 finish of the day. Her time of 55.68 in the 400-meter dash earned her a tie for seventh-place in the event. Phillip’s previous top time of the season was 56.35.
