Broncos Host All-Idaho Collegiate April 2-3

► What's Happening - The Boise State track and field team hosts their first outdoor track and field meet of the 2010 season, the All-Idaho Collegiate, on Friday and Saturday, April 2-3. The Broncos will play host to Idaho State, Northwest Nazarene, College of Idaho as well as Boise State Track Club and a handful of unattached athletes.

► Meet Specifics - The meet will begin with the women's hammer throw at 12 p.m. on Friday, with running events starting at 4 p.m. with the 400-meter hurdles. On Saturday, the field events begin at 10 a.m. with the men's hammer throw and women's shot put, while the running events start at 1 p.m. with the 4x100-meter relay. Saturday's events are scheduled to end around 3:35 p.m. with the 4x400-meter relay.

The All-Idaho Collegiate is the first of two home meets for the Broncos this season, with the second, the Idaho-Utah Border Clash, scheduled for May 1, 2010.

► National Rankings - The USATFCCCA will release its first 2010 regular season outdoor rankings on Tuesday, April 6.

► Meet Highlights - The All-Idaho Collegiate will highlight a handful of talented athletes, including seniors Zacharias Arnos and Eleni Kafourou in the long and triple jumps, Megan Olivetti in the hurdles and sprints, Paige Olivetti in the sprints, Trevor Kraychir in the throws, Sasa Kampic in the javelin and Mele Vaisima in the throws, as well as Jeff Howard and Sawyer Bosch in the distance events.

Former Bronco, Ryan Grinnell will compete in the jumps at the All-Idaho Collegiate as an unattached competitor.

► Last Time Out - The Boise State track and field team opened up their 2010 outdoor season last weekend at the 2010 Arizona State Team Invitational. Although the meet was a non-scored meet, the Broncos fared well against big schools such as Arizona State, Texas A&M, Duke, Wyoming, Purdue and Northern Arizona. The Bronco men earned 14 finishes in the top-8 places at the meet, while the women earned 13 top-8 finishes on the weekend.
