The Boise State track & field program will open the 2015 outdoor season, Apr. 3-4 at the Stanford Invitational and the San Francisco State Distance Carnival.

The Weekend
The Stanford Invite will take place at the Cobb Track and Angell Field, while the SF State Distance Carnival is held at Cox Stadium, 30 minutes north of Stanford.

16 men and 14 women will suit up and represent Boise State in the Stanford Invitational, and 11 men and two women will compete in the San Francisco State Distance Carnival. Full meet schedules and heat sheets can be found above, all times PDT.

Preseason Rankings
The Bronco women's track & field team enters the season ranked No. 22 in the nation, based on USTFCCCA preseason computer rankings.

Stanford Invitational: April 3-4
Friday's competition includes 400mH competitors Jordin Andrade, Fernando Martinez, Bret Scheve and Rex Stanley, who will compete at 3 p.m. PT. Danny Verdieck will race in the 110mH which is slated for an 11:52 a.m. start, and also compete in the pole vault (Fri., 2:30 p.m.). Joining Verdieck in the pole vault will be Adam Garske and Camden Stoddard. Kyle Kelley will race in the 400m (Fri., 4:33 p.m.) and Alexandru Terpezan in the 100- (Fri., 12:27 p.m.) and 200-meter dash races (Sat., 3:09 p.m.).

Four Bronco runners will race in distance events at the Stanford Invitational. David Elliott, Andrew Rafla and Michael Vennard will run the 5000m race on Friday, and Allan Schroeder will run the 3000m steeplechase on Friday at 5:45 p.m.

Austin Hamilton (javelin) and Juston Lindsley (discus) will open their outdoor seasons on Friday, with Hamilton competing Friday morning and Lindsley at 6:15 p.m.

The Bronco women's distance contingent will contend for top times and marks in the 5000-meter race. Emma Bates, Marisa Howard and Tessa Murray will each toe the line in the race on Friday, with the fast heats beginning at 7:27 p.m. Emma Hyyppä will make her 3000m steeplechase debut, which is slated for a 5 p.m. start on Friday. Rici Morrill will run the 1500m competition on Friday.

Courtney Hutchinson and Lacie Rasley will compete in the shot put (Fri, 11 a.m.) while Karyna Armstrong will battle in the hammer (Fri, 10 a.m.)

The sprinters will come out in full force on Friday. Mackenzie Flannigan will race in the 100-meter dash (Fri. 12:12 p.m.) and then the 200-meter dash on Saturday (2:50 p.m.). Joining Flannigan in the 200-meter competition will be Angelica Johnson and Megan Kelley. Kelley will also run Friday's 400-meter race (4:12 p.m.) as will Sadi Henderson. Henderson will also compete in the 800 (Sat. 2:11 p.m.). Brittany Liggins will enter the 400mH, which is scheduled for Fri. at 2:34 p.m. Allison Jeffries will race the 100mH prelims (Fri., 11 a.m.) and then contend in the pole vault (Fri., 11 a.m.).

San Francisco State Distance Carnival: April 3-4 (8 a.m.-5 p.m.)
San Francisco State University will host its eighth annual Distance Carnival, just 30 miles north of Stanford. Competition is slated to begin at 8 a.m. both days, and aims to end by 5 p.m. Friday's competition will feature jumps and sprints, while Saturday's slate is comprised of throws, sprints, hurdles, relays and 1&2 mile races.

On the women's side, Anna Holdiman will compete Friday morning in the 1500m at 11:35 a.m. Gracie Tostenson will race in the 5000m on Friday at 3:13 p.m.

Aaron Back, Jeff Lautenslager, Louis McAfee, Keegan McCormick and Rhys Park will run the 5000-meter competition (Fri., 3:32 p.m.). Dan Oekerman will run the 3000m steeplechase, Friday at 1:39 p.m.)

Saturday's slate of sprinters will compete in the 400mH (2:29 p.m.), 400-meter dash (1:03 p.m.) and the 4x400 relay(4:30 p.m.). Andrade, Martinez, Scheve and Rex Stanley are scheduled to race the 400mH, while Kyle Kelley will race the 400m. The quartet of Andrade, Kyle Kelley, Martinez and Scheve will race the mile relay.
