Broncos Open Outdoor Track and Field Season at NNU

The Meet - The Boise State University track and field will begin the outdoor season with the Northwest Nazarene University Open Mar. 14-15, in Nampa, Idaho.


The Bronco Men - The Boise State men’s track will feature a variety of student-athletes competing in track and field events. The Broncos return two WAC Outdoor Champions, Jarrod Stevens and Scott Viafore.


Stevens won the hammer throw at the 2007 WAC Outdoor Championships with a toss of 218-10 (66.71m). Stevens participated in the 2007 NCAA Championships and captured 14th place in the hammer throw.


Viafore earned the WAC Outdoor Championship in the javelin with a throw of 215-0 (65.53m). He also competed in the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Championships where he finished 13th with a 213-05 (65.05m).


The Bronco Women - The Boise State women’s track and field team return five WAC Champions from its 2007 squad.


The 4x400m championship relay team of Megan Olivetti, Paige Olivetti, Kayleen McDowell and Nerisha Phillip will all be returning to action for Boise State.


Eleni Kafourou will rejoin the Broncos following the NCAA Indoor Championships.
