Four-Man Bobsled Team Takes 19th

PYEONGCHANG, South Korea –
Nick Cunningham and his four-man bobsled team took 19th at the XXII Winter Olympic Games with a cumulative time of 3:18.54.

The quartet of Cunningham (Boise State), Hakeem Abdul-Saboor (Virginia-Wise), Chris Kinney (Georgetown) and Sam Michener (Idaho) recorded a 49.74 in the third heat, but bounced back with a 49.70 in the fourth and final heat.

The four were the second-fastest American sled in the field with Germany’s team of Candy Bauer, Francesco Friedrich, Martin Grothkopp and Thorsten Margis winning the gold with a cumulative time of 3:15.85.

Cunningham will exit the 2018 Winter Olympic Games with a pair of top-25 finishes as he also took 21st in the two-man bobsled.
