Boise State track and field will partake in their first road indoor meet of the 2017 season this coming weekend when they travel to Seattle, Wash., to compete at the UW Invitational from Jan. 27-28. The meet will take place on the campus of the University of Washington at the Dempsey Indoor.

WHEN: Friday, Jan. 27 – Saturday, Jan. 28

Friday’s action for the Broncos will begin at 5:30 p.m. (PT) with the women’s weight throw, and it will conclude with the men’s 5,000m at 8:25 p.m. The first event on Saturday will be the women’s long jump at 9 a.m., and it will wrap up for Boise State at 4:50 p.m. with the men’s 5,000m.

ADMISSION: $8 general admission and kids age 10 and under are free.

LAST TIME OUT: Keegan McCormick took first in the 3,000m with a career-best time of 8:42.76 to lead Boise State at the Bronco Invitational last weekend at the Jacksons Indoor Track in the Ford Idaho Center. It was McCormick’s second career collegiate win in a field that featured 14 other runners. The men’s 4x400m relay team of Cameron Wrout, Fernando Martinez, Alexandru Terpezan and Bryce Kirby was victorious as well, clocking a time of 3:19.25 to provide the other victory of the day for the Blue and Orange.

RANKED No. 18: The USTFCCCA announced their week one National Team Computer Rankings among NCAA Division I schools earlier this week on Monday and the Boise State women’s team moved up two spots from their preseason ranking and now sit at No. 18. They are the highest ranked Mountain West school in the national rankings and just one of two teams from a Group of Five conference to crack the top 25.
