Women's T&F Ranked No. 18
Jan. 23, 2017

NEW ORLEANS – The USTFCCCA announced their week one National Team Computer Rankings among NCAA Division I schools on Monday and the Boise State women’s team moved up two spots from their preseason ranking and now sit at No. 18. They are the highest ranked Mountain West school in the national rankings and just one of two teams from a Group of Five conference to crack the top 25.

The Broncos’ boost in the rankings can be mainly attributed to Sadi Henderson and her rise in the 800m rankings. Henderson has the No. 8 indoor 800m time in the country at 2:05.71, which is also good for the school record and the fourth-fastest time in Mountain West history.

After Henderson’s breakout performance, the computer rankings are still factoring the Boise State athletes who the USTFCCCA projects success from on a national stage based off a formula that considered preseason data and specific standards for marks and times.

With Henderson joining the fray on the national stage, the Broncos now have six athletes and one relay team who have recorded the necessary times and marks in previous years to attain preseason ranking consideration.

Allie Ostrander | 3,000m – 8:54.27 and 5,000m – 15:21.85
Brenna Peloquin | 3,000m – 9:34.93 (ran at altitude, converted to a 9:20.77) and 5,000m – 16:11.90
